Armando Christian Perez, aka Pitbull, is one of the most talented rappers in the music industry today, so much so that he is often called Mr Worldwide. Known for his collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Enrique Iglesias and Usher, he is also one artist who has managed to balance hip hop talent and pop success. Some of his songs like I Know You Want Me, Give Me Everything, Hey Baby and I Like It have been instant hits and even his older songs are still hot favourites on the party scene. Excerpts from an email interview with the rapper, who is slated to come to India at the end of the year. 




                                                                           In the song Give Me Everything, you sang lyrics like "Take my life from negative to positive". What are some of the most positive or negative things that have happened to you?

I cannot think of any event that stands out and it won't be right for me too. Even if something happens that is a surprise to me, I put my heart and soul into it. You can't take anything for granted. Learn to keep an open mind and look for the opportunities coming your way. You need to keep a level head and your feet grounded. It's just crazy how things open up. I'm grateful to God that I'm blessed to be around the right people.

Pitbull tags along his pal Marc Anthony in a music video supporting their joint track "Rain Over Me". The Cuban rapper and the estranged husband of Jennifer Lopez go to the desert of Southern California, singing under the sun's glare and braving the rain when the sun sets.

"Rain Over Me" is a song recorded for Pitbull's studio album "Planet Pit". Talking about getting help from Marc, the rapper said, "It's the first record he's done in English in over 10 years. We feel it's going to be a strong contender all over the world and obviously something that can contend on the charts."
